WorkSafe Breakfast with Lingy

In case you missed it…

On Wednesday 7 June, local business owners and employers will hear about important occupational health and safety industry changes, with some unfamiliar insights from the very familiar face of Geelong’s own Cameron Ling.

Brought to the region by WorkSafe Victoria, the two-hour breakfast at Simonds Stadium aims to educate and translate changes to workplace health and safety policies and requirements for employers and employees.

With a family member having previously been affected by a workplace incident, safety at work is an issue close to Lingy’s heart.

“Safer workplaces equal safer communities. Keeping each other safe at work means we can all return home to our loved ones,” he said.

“Communities need to work together to make workplace safety a top priority, and I’m looking forward to inspiring Geelong business owners to do just that.”

The WorkSafe Victoria Breakfast Series will visit five regional towns during June, including Mildura, Traralgon, Ballarat and Bendigo.

WorkSafe Victoria Geelong Regional Operations Manager, Trevor Butler, urged local employers, managers and supervisors to get behind the event series.

“These events are about bringing local business leaders together to collaborate and share ideas in order to keep on top of important workplace changes that will ultimately have a positive impact, locally,” Mr Butler said.
