Geelong's Father of the year for 2016
Geelong’s Father of the Year for 2016
Bethany Community Support announced Geelong’s Father of the Year for the 2016, Ray Witnish, at a breakfast that celebrated special blokes in all their diversity and the important role men have in our communities. Ray was nominated by his nine year-old daughter Bridgette as not only the carer of his three daughters, but also supported his wife with her battle with MS and his father-in-law suffering motor neurone disease (MND). Showing his strength off the field was Geelong Cats champion Jimmy Bartel, who spoke to the sold-out crowd of 300 about the very personal story behind his hairy campaign to get men to Face Up To Domestic Violence. The breakfast event was supported by The Rotary Club of Geelong, the Geelong Advertiser and Geelong Connected Communities.
