Chamber AGM Welcomes Small Biz Commmissioner
More than 300 members attended the Geelong Chamber of Commerce’s Annual General Meeting, where the organisation’s new brand and continuing strong membership were lauded.
The audience also heard from guest speaker Judy O’Connell, the Victorian Small Business Commissioner, who talked about the connectedness of local small business as a feature of the region’s business landscape.
“The events we hold in Geelong have some of the strongest uptake across the state - especially those held during the Small Business Festival - and this is an indication of the “go forward” attitude of Geelong business operators, who give up their time to engage and keep up to date about good business practices,” Ms O’Connell said.
Nick Klein, Principal and Director at LBW Business and Wealth Advisors, was elected to the Chamber’s Board of Directors, with Kylie Warne and John Fitzgerald being re-elected to the board for a further term.
