Geelong Businesses Think BIG
Thinking BIG is a different kind of growth story in Geelong, with over 70 local small businesses coming together to celebrate the very big difference a relatively small monthly donation can make to Give Where You Live Foundation grant recipients.
The BIG (Business Investing in Geelong) Program provides an opportunity for businesses of any size to make a significant contribution to support our community’s most vulnerable people. Throughout the month of March, the Foundation has been blitzing Geelong’s small to medium businesses and asking them to think BIG!
The Foundation’s annual BIG Blitz Breakfast was held at Novotel Geelong on Thursday, 22 March.
Networking over hot coffee and breakfast, guests were given an insight into the latest research findings of the Geelong Workplace Trends Report, delivered by Gforce Employment Solutions CEO Rob Birch.
Guests were also treated to a special guest panel of HR experts, Elisa Walerys, Transition Human Resources and complier of the Geelong Workplace Trends Report, Jodie Haydon, VIVA Energy Australia and Christine Shaw, Deakin University, who shared their advice on how to attract the top talent in their workforce and recognizing that flexibility means something different to everyone.
The breakfast acknowledged the Foundation’s BIG Partners for their commitment to supporting our community and those experiencing disadvantage through BIG Program.
The Program brings together small businesses, with each making a small manageable monthly donation (from as little as $50) that together will make, you guessed it, a BIG difference.
